Meet Our Directors

Megan Mansdoerfer

Megan Mansdoerfer is the Co-Director and Founder of Magnolia Christian Academy. She has a deep love for the Lord and is committed to honoring Him in every aspect of her life and work. Grateful for His continual kindness, she is passionate about growing in her faith and deepening her relationship with Him each day.

Megan earned her degree in Sociology from Vanguard University and has spent over ten years homeschooling her three children—each with their own unique learning style. This hands-on experience has deepened her passion for helping all children feel confident, capable, and successful in their education.

Megan believes that learning should be engaging, meaningful, and come to life beyond the pages of a textbook. She loves bringing creativity and hands-on experiences into her teaching, and she’s dedicated to making learning both fun and impactful. Megan finds great joy in encouraging other families on their homeschool journey and believes that with the right support and mindset, every home can become a nurturing and effective place for learning.

When she’s not homeschooling her children, Megan enjoys spending time in the kitchen baking sourdough, getting creative with crafts alongside her kids, or enjoying a fun date with her husband. She has a love for baking, worship music, creating, and snuggling with her beloved (and very large) Labrador, Sunny.

Jessica Haught

Jessica Haught is the Co-Director and founder of Magnolia Christian Academy. She is a devoted wife, a proud mother of four, and lives on a lively farm filled with goats, cows, dogs, and a sweet kitty. With over a decade of homeschooling experience—teaching her own children from elementary through high school—along with four years of teaching in a private school setting, Jessica brings a wealth of knowledge and insight to her role.

Through her years of teaching at home, in the classroom, and in Sunday School, Jessica developed a passion for hands-on, engaging instruction that meets the needs of diverse learners. She recognized the importance of creating an educational environment that allows students to thrive at their own pace, in a way that ignites their love for learning.

Her vision for Magnolia Christian Academy is rooted in offering a flexible, a-la-carte model where exceptional teachers lead students in meaningful, content-rich learning. This model also empowers homeschool families to tailor their children’s education to fit their unique needs and goals.

Jessica is deeply committed to supporting families in providing a high-quality, Christ-centered education. Her love for the Lord is the foundation of all she does, and she considers it a great joy to share His light and love with each student, parent, and teacher she encounters.
