What We Believe

The Bible

We believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God. It is the supreme and final authority in all matters of faith, conduct, and truth. 2 Timothy 3:16–17; 2 Peter 1:20–21; Psalm 119:105

The Nature of God

We believe in one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14

Jesus Christ

We believe in the full deity and full humanity of Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, His sinless life, His miracles, His atoning death on the cross, His bodily resurrection, His ascension into heaven, and His personal return in power and glory. John 1:1–14; Philippians 2:5–11; 1 Corinthians 15:3–4; Acts 1:9–11

Salvation

We believe that all people are sinful by nature and in need of salvation. Salvation is a gift of God's grace and is received through faith in Jesus Christ alone, not by works. Romans 3:23–24; Ephesians 2:8–9; John 14:6

The Holy Spirit

We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, who indwells and empowers believers for godly living, spiritual growth, and service. John 14:26; Acts 1:8; Galatians 5:22–23

Human Life and Dignity

We believe that all human life is sacred and created in the image of God, from conception to natural death. Genesis 1:26–27; Psalm 139:13–16

Marriage, Gender, and Sexuality

We believe that God wonderfully and immutably creates each person as male or female, and that marriage is the union of one man and one woman, designed by God as the foundation of the family and the reflection of Christ's relationship with the Church. Genesis 1:27; Genesis 2:24; Matthew 19:4–6; Ephesians 5:31–33

The Church

We believe in the spiritual unity of all believers in our Lord Jesus Christ and the importance of fellowship with the local body of believers for worship, discipleship, and service. Hebrews 10:24–25; Acts 2:42–47; 1 Corinthians 12:12–27

Final Judgment and Eternal Life

We believe in the bodily resurrection of the saved and the lost—those who are saved to eternal life in Heaven and those who are lost to eternal separation from God. John 5:28–29; Matthew 25:31–46; Revelation 20:11–15
